The TEKTRONIX 7904 Oscilloscope is a solid-state, high performance instrument designed for general purpose applications. The 7904 features a crt with small spot size and high writing rate. Graticule area is 8 X 10 cm. Additionally, the instrument includes a readout system providing crt display of alphanumeric information from the plug-ins, including deflection factor, sweep rate, and other encoded parameters.
The instrument's high vertical bandwidth (500 MHz), and four plug-in compartments which accept 7-series plug-in units, form a highly flexible measurement system.
This unit has SMA connectors for a tracking generator connection to the LO1 and LO2 oscillators and the newer LED readout of the reference level. This TEK analyzer unit has an advantage over the wider 7l13 units as it takes up only 2 slots in your scope rather than 3 with the 7L13 leaving some room for additional plugins and the SMA LO connections allow connection of a variety of tracking generators. This unit is complete with all knobs and controls . The 7l12 analyzer displays frequencies from 100kHz to 1.8 GHz and but does not have digital storage like the 7L5, 7L14 and 7L18 featured.
